Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
These terms explain how HireUHelp works, how SafePay protects both sides, what behavior is not allowed, and how data is handled for safety and dispute resolution. Effective January 2026.
1) Acceptance of Agreement
By registering, checking the agreement box, or using HireUHelp, you agree to a legally binding contract. Your electronic confirmation acts as your signature.
- Applies to all users (Clients and Professionals)
- Using the platform means you accept the latest version of these terms
2) Nature of the Marketplace
HireUHelp is a digital marketplace designed for Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean, connecting Clients with vetted Professionals.
- Independent status: Professionals are independent contractors, not employees, partners, or agents of the platform
- User responsibility: Professionals handle their own taxes and relevant contributions where applicable
- On-site work: HireUHelp does not supervise or direct physical work performed off-platform
Release of Liability & Risk
- Users assume the risks of on-site work, including physical injury and property damage
- HireUHelp is not responsible for the quality of physical labor performed in-person
- Clients and Pros are responsible for job-site safety and safe working conditions
3) SafePay (Escrow) & Financial Terms
SafePay is designed to protect both parties by securing funds before work begins and releasing payments after completion.
- Currency: All bids and payments are conducted in TTD
- Escrow logic: Client funds are secured before work starts
- Release: Payments are released after confirmation of completion
- Service fee: A platform fee (typically 7%–12%) may be deducted to support security and mediation
4) Communication & Evidence Policy
For accountability and dispute resolution, important project details should remain within platform records.
- Scope changes should be confirmed on-platform
- Milestones, approvals, and delivery notes should be documented inside HireUHelp
- Platform records may be used to decide disputes
5) Prohibited Conduct
- Circumvention: moving payments off-platform or sharing contact info to avoid SafePay
- Fraud or misrepresentation: false identity, fake credentials, misleading listings
- Harassment or unsafe conduct: threats, discrimination, or abusive behavior
- Intellectual property: unauthorized use of HireUHelp branding, designs, or content
6) Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago
- Disputes are handled under the applicable jurisdiction

We collect information needed to run a secure marketplace and support SafePay.
- Account identity: names, contact details, and verification information
- Financial records: SafePay transaction history and billing data
- Communication logs: messages sent within HireUHelp for safety and dispute resolution
- Usage data: basic device and platform usage info to improve performance and security
